Where Two Oceans Prepare to Meet
11” x 14”
Oil on linen panel
Two of my art friends and I arrived in Cape Town in the early evening of April 27, 2023. We were up at the crack of dawn the next morning and were picked up for our full day tour to Cape Agulhas. Cape Agulhas is geographically the most southern tip of Africa. It was a fabulous day of touring and experiencing the first sight of the beautiful country. The Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet at Cape Agulhas. The wind was fierce and the surf as well. Rock formations leaned away from the shore from being constantly battered by the wind and the sea. I had fun painting this piece using palette knife for the first time.
