Safari People Again

$995.00

24” x 20”

"Safari People Again" is based on a photo reference I shot while on safari in South Africa, on the Buffelsdrift Game Reserve to be exact in Oudtshoorn. While on safari our guide noticed a tower of giraffes on a hill. He stopped our jeep and waited knowing they would be curious and make their way down the hill and pass in front of our jeep. It was quite amazing to watch these tall graceful creatures casually walk in front of us and then stop to feed on the trees nearby. I captured this giraffe (a female as her tufts on the top of her ossicones were intact) as she was staring back at us. I imagined she might have been thinking well there are THOSE people again.

Oil on linen panel professionally framed in a warm wood frame.
