Beveled Glass Doors
16” x 14.5”
This oil painting was created because I was attracted by the morning light reflecting off the upper half of the beveled glass doors. You don’t see many exterior doors with beveled glass anymore so my guess is these were brought in from an old house to new construction. The shadows from the porch overhang changes the paint color as the sun moves. I am attracted by houses with double doors. Stairs are always difficult to paint and these were no exception.
This oil painting is on a gessobord archival panel. It is framed in a “gold” plein aire style frame with a black liner. The overall size framed is 14 1/2” x 16”.
