Red Chair
20” x 16”
The day I arrived at a most stunning home, a stone’s throw from Lake George, on the property I found this peaceful scene of the red chair near a small, natural pool with a bubbler in action. The sound was so soothing and inviting that I had to sit for a short time. The red against a multitude of greens vibrated, yet it was most attractive. This painting is a studio version of the Plein Air piece I completed at the time of our visit here. My idea for this choice spot was to make something beautiful to look at. The oil painting is framed in a Plein Air style in black and gold.
